What We Did This Week: Week 1
*Forward Rolls*
With forward rolls athletes worked on keeping chin into chest and working on standing up with out using hands. For some this is a challenging skill as they find it easier to stand after skill. Another challenge is rolling up to the standing position. We have athletes start forward rolls down a wedge to work on that forward roll to stand, then moving that skill to the floor. We also worked on balance and jumping with 2 feet. Finishing the class off with a game of dice roll conditioning, Athletes roll a dice and what conditioning it landed on and number they would do.
Next week we will be working on Backward Rolls and Cartwheels
