- Set this up on a few panels on the side of the cheer floor (this can be done by one coach while we’re finishing up practice or during the final water break for the night)
- Assign athletes to a station or draw names out of a hat for placements
RELAY RACE: Either have everyone go as one big group or make two teams. Station 1 has to finish, then 2 can go, then 3, etc.
Station 1: Cookie Face Race (2 people)

- They put cookie on their forehead and try to get in into their mouth without hands.
Station 2: Snowblow (2 people)Â

- Start / End line

Station 3: Marshmallow Stack (2 people)Â
Needed:Â
- 5 large marshmallows
- Surface to stack on/napkin or paper plate
- Athletes will run back and forth across the cheer floor one at a time and stack marshmallows. They will have to be fully stacked at the end and the athlete has to make it back to the other end of the floor. (This is tough on a spring floor, so consider dead mat for tinies.)
Station 4: Wrap it Up (3 people – 2 decorators, one snowman )
Needed:
- Roll of toilet paper
- Tape
- Construction paper buttons (black circles) and a nose (orange triangle)
- Athletes wrap one person in the toilet paper and then stick the construction paper to them. The first group done with all these stations wins.
Social media:
- Video the races for Insta Stories and reels
- Take a picture of each group at the end with their partner dressed as a snowman
Sock exchange:
- Sit in a circle for the sock exchange.
- The socks should be wrapped. All socks are in the middle in a pile.
- Each athlete draws a number from a hat. (There should be one number for each person participating.)
- In order, the first person will select a gift and unwrap the socks.
- The second person can steal the socks or get a new gift.
- Socks can only be stolen twice.
- The first person can keep their socks or steal someone else’s.
Snacks:
This should be a casual time for the athletes to hang out, eat snacks and have fun.
Put on Christmas music and let them sit around a table being silly and loud.
Someone should be taking photos, selfies and video.
We allow all parents to attend the Christmas parties and we ask them to help with serving food and clean up.
