Results statement: By completing this system, every participant will be safe and have fun. Every host will find our parties to be easy and hospitable.
- Opening: Use opening system
- Initial preparation:
-
- Make sure the waiver is on a clipboard out on the desk ready to go
- Make sure the table is set up for the party to the left of the entrance to the main floor. (10 ft. white table located in the storage room.)
- Check bathrooms and ensure they are cleaned in accordance with the bathroom cleaning system.
- Make sure mats are blocking off the high performance bed and the slide
- Put mats over the high bars to block them from participation.
- When guests arrive (they may begin set up 30 minutes prior to the party):
-
- Introduce yourself and offer to carry in anything they may need.
- Offer to help set up. Scotch tape is located at the front desk. Hosts may not use tacks, duct tape or staples to hang decorations.
- Kindly remind the hosts of the time limits (1 hour and 15 minutes of play and 45 minutes in the lobby for food and presents). Please remind them that they will need to play first and eat second to avoid upset stomachs and messy hands. Also remind them that the concessions time does include their clean up time also but assure them that you will be helping so they do not have to do much.
- If it is a bootcamp party, turn on the bootcamp obstacle course 15 minutes before party time and then the other ones on the main floor 10 minutes before the party time
- If the party is a Nerf theme, approximately 15 mats should be put upright to create obstacles. Safety glasses should be placed at the entrance to the main floor, and darts should be placed in the colorful bins throughout the floor.
- During the party
-
- As participants arrive, you will need to have the parents sign their children in on the waiver and remind them that any parents that are going to actually play on the equipment need to sign in also.
- A minute or two before the party, gather the kids up and go over the rules
- No shoes unless they are on the warped walls (tennis shoes required)
- One person at a time on the trampoline and they need to zip themselves in
- No one is allowed to go behind the mats that are set up around the trampoline with the slide
- If they use the rings that are hanging they cannot put their feet in them
- No one is allowed on the high bar
- If it is a boot camp make sure they go feet first down the slide on the boot camp
-
- Once the party starts walk around the floor interacting with the kids playing. Ensure you keep high-energy and excellent situational awareness. Ensure safety is the top priority and fun comes only second to that.
- Make sure to keep an eye on the desk and anyone coming in so they all get signed in on the waiver
- If someone wants to buy anything there is some change in the little brown box under the desk near the register. Make change for them there if needed.
- If it is a bootcamp party make sure one staff member is on the boot camp side and the other is on the main floor
- Remind the parents when they have 15 minutes left of play time and remind them about the group picture. That will happen three to five minutes before the end of play time
- Once the kids have taken the picture tell them it is time to go over for cake and presents (Mention cake and they normally don’t get as upset!)
- Put up the mats to block off the entrances so no kids make a break for the floor
- Turn off the inflatables
- As soon as they are off, go see if the party host needs any help with handing out food whether it’s cake, pizza, ect.
- If they do not need help, clean up the floor in accordance with the checklist below and periodically check in on them.
- Once that is done make sure to check in on the party host and walk around and collect trash
- Clean up the equipment using sanitizer and a rag. If it is the last party put the bounce houses up. If not, use the Swiffer and/or vacuum cleaner to ensure everything is picked up. Wipe down tables and chairs as necessary. (Ensure the vacuum is not disruptive to the party.)
- Once that is done make sure to check in on the party host and walk around and collect trash
- Do not stay behind the desk. Make sure you are available for the party host if they need anything
- If the phone rings you do not need to answer it. We will check the voicemail the next business day
- Make sure to tell the party host when they have 10 minutes left in the lobby (if they are not cleaning up start wiping tables and vacuuming)
- If they still are not done with cleaning up when the party is over they have 5 minutes or they get charged a late fee because normally the parties are back to back. Even if there is not another party that is still the time that they have paid for. It is important to stay consistent in this so that from year to year the expectation remains.
- Take the trash out between parties
- End of Party
-
- Ask the host how they liked the party and make sure to tell everyone bye as they leave
- Start wiping the rest of the booths off and go over the floors
- If there is another party make sure to tell them “hello” and that you will be right with them. Try to give the same experience to each party.
- If it is the end of the parties for the day, clean the tables, floors, and bathrooms (Systems are hanging next to the concessions to see what entails)
- If there are no more parties for the weekend , put the white table away and just make sure that the blowers from the boot camp are unplugged and put near the wall
- Fill out the green party sheet and put the waiver back in the holder for the party
- Closing
-
- Use the closing checklist.
- Lock the front doors and staff door.
- Clock out. When leaving pull on the front doors to make sure they have shut all the way
