After we determine what the goals are and how we’re going to reach those goals, we begin assigning tasks. These tasks are determined by owners and are assigned based on the following criteria:

  • Who would be able to complete this task the most efficiently and with the most completion?
  • Who is passionate about this priority and will make this project their baby?
  • Who’s box would this fall under on the organizational chart?
  • Who has the time and resources to complete this task by the deadline?

On the next page, you’ll see an example of the checklist that is made for each employee. Today this is done on Trello. Each week at our core staff meeting, the employee is asked what percentage of completion they are at with their strategic priorities. There should be progress each week. The employee then has the opportunity to ask for help or get feedback if they’re stuck.
