Results Statement: By using this checklist, our staff will know the expectations of every shift. All staff will feel prepared for the basics of the work day and manager/owners will know that they are doing what needs to be accomplished each day. 

 

  • Parking: All Staff will park on the right side of the building as far right as you can (See front desk if clarification is required.) 
  • When coming from your vehicle to the gym, staff will check the parking lot, front door windows, rugs and iPad for litter, fingerprints and general cleanliness. If any of these areas need upkeep, the staff member will tend to the area after clocking in. If the staff member cannot do so immediately, he or she will notify the front desk. 
  • All personal items will be kept in the cubbies behind the front desk. Phones will not go on the floor unless they are used for music. Staff members will not check phones between classes. Staff may provide the gym’s number to family/roommates in the event of an emergency. 
  • Upon arriving for work: 
  1. Clock in
  2. Put away personal items
  3. Check the whiteboard to prepare for evening classes. Note any overlapping classes and notify the floor manager or front desk if there are any anticipated issues. 
  4. Set up for classes and get equipment ready for any back-to-back classes that don’t allow for prep time. 
  5. Clean any areas of the floor that are disorganized, cluttered or dirty. Check equipment for cleanliness and safety.
  6. Prior to classes, between classes or during any downtime: 
    1. The staff will not stand behind the front desk or mingle with each other or front desk staff at any time. 
    2. The staff should be doing the following: 
      1. Updating parents on progress, giving athletes homework and drills, and answering questions directly with the parents.
      2. Writing floor closeout notes
      3. Review upcoming classes’ assessment sheets
      4. Writing postcards (minimum 2 per week expected.) 
      5. Cleaning bathrooms, floors, concessions, sanitizing mats, windows, vacuuming, etc. See cleaning checklist.
    3. Ask front desk what help is needed. Coaches will not use register unless front desk asks for help. If coaches use register, they must initial the closeout and may be responsible for any issues regarding closeout. 
  7. Prior to leaving for the night: 
    1. Coaches will complete assigned cleaning
    2. Coaches will complete Coaches Closeout Form
      1. Failure to do this will result first in a verbal, documented warning. Failure to do this a second time will result in termination. 
    3. Coaches will clock out
