Results Statement: By completing this system, Twisters will maintain an excellent brand image. We will be able to efficiently and effectively market our products to new prospects while showcasing fitness, friends and fun.

6 weeks out: 

  1. Register to participate. 
  2. Establish which vehicle(s) to use.
  3. What will we do? Beam, bars, trailer, DJ, etc.


4 weeks out: 

  1. Order decorations (Oriental Trading, Amazon, Dollar Tree) 
    • Fringe, Crepe Paper, Balloons, Ribbon, DJ outfit, Banners, etc. 3. 3 weeks out: 
  2. Establish who will work parade and cover classes.
  3. Design flyers and establish what will be offered.

2 weeks out:

  1. Get flyers and offer printed.
  2. Type script for parade emcee and Twister DJ.
  3. Email parents reminder with details & post to private pages.

1 week out: 

  1. Paint banners.
  2. Make pre-parade and during-parade checklist.
  3. Staple flyers.
  4. Gather all decorations and sound equipment in tote.
  5. Print sign in/sign out sheet.


3 days out: 

  1. Charge walkie talkies & iPod.
  2. Gas up vehicles.
  3. Check trailer lights.
  4. Gas up generator.
  5. Purchase any ribbon or duct tape to secure decorations.


Day before parade:

  1. Prepare cooler, cups and trash bag.
  2. Wash truck.
  3. Confirm staffing for parade day.
  4. Email reminder and post reminder on social media.

Day of parade: 

Pack the following in truck: 

  1. Generator
  2. Duct tape
  3. Extension cord
  4. DJ rope
  5. DJ platform
  6. Swings
  7. Speakers
  8. Microphone & auxiliary cord
  9. Decorations tote
  10. Ribbon/string, banners
  11. Flyers
  12. DJ outfit
  13. Walkie talkies
  14. iPod
  15. Sign in/out
  16. Filled cooler
  17. Cups
  18. Trash bag
  19. Poms
  20. Nikon camera 

1 day after: 

  1. Post photos to social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
  2. Write a news release with photo (if applicable).

2 days after: 

  1. Make video of parade to market and follow video protocol.
  2. Put away all items and re-order any securing items we ran out of.Â
