Results Statement:
The purpose of this system is to ensure that every team receives the same consistent training, no matter the level or age group. Which provides for success for every team and ensures that the Five Star Way is set.Â
- All teams are required to have a practice plan set for every practiceÂ
- Practice plans must be written onto the whiteboard where athletes can see, by allowing them to know what is next you hold yourself and them accountable.
- Practice plans are to be filed into the practice binder every practice under the team’s individual tab.
- Team Notes
- Each coach is to keep a notebook with notes from every practice. What was good and what was bad.
- In the event of an issue you believe needs to be addressed by owners/directors, please make that note on your practice log sheet.
- Every practice for the last ten minutes is to be spend journaling.
- Questions should relate to the aspects of the team and be reflective. See wooden’s book.
- Skill progression and effort should be tracked daily. Start the journal entry with the date at the top. First like is the effort scale: 1-10 how much effort did they give in practice today. Next line, what did you do today to improve a skill you need to work on.
- Benchmark Assignments
- All benchmark assignments are due by the final Thursday of the month/week.
- Assignments are to be added to the shared benchmark folder on the Apple cloud. If you do not have an iPhone use one of the available three iPads at the gym.
