Commission Based All Star Coach Position Agreement-
This is a position agreement by and between the All Star Team Coaches and the Owner of Five Star Athletics LLC, and is intended to franchise prototype the relationship between these two positions.
Results Statement: This position is responsible for working on a daily basis with our All Star Teams. It is your responsibility to ensure that every team that hits the mat representing Five Star is the most prepared they can be. Coaches will be responsible for teaching our athletes to be better people both on and off the mat.
Entrepreneurial Work:
- Observe and Document ideas and that will continue to improve the client experience for our families
- Observe and Document ideas that will help to improve the team product that we put out each season.
- Observe and Document ideas that will help the leadership and team building aspect throughout the gym.
Managerial Work:
- Observe and Document areas where assistant coaches and junior coaches excel.
- Observe and Document areas where assistant and junior coaches need work.
- On a daily basis work with assistant and junior coaches to help develop them into coaches that can be head coaches in the future.
Technical Work:
- Prepare a Daily Report
- This is done at the end of each day
- This should take no more than five to ten minutes each evening.
- This report is intended to “liberate” you from constant, unnecessary supervision throughout the day.
- This report must include everything you think your supervisor should know about your work completed, in progress and planned for the day.
- This report must be completed nightly and submitted via team app to your supervisor, the All Star director.
- Not completing this report is grounds for termination
- This form is your opportunity for feedback, it should be detailed.

- Parent Communication
- Ensure that all phone calls are answered in a polite, prompt and courteous manner.
- Ensure that all calls are answered within 3 rings
- Use the phone script on EVERY prospecting call received
- Respond to all emails to the coach within 24 hours in a kind and courteous manner
- All “problems” that a family has should always try to be understood by coach, and remember that we are dealing with the parents most prized possession.
- Five Star Super Camp
- All competitive coaches are expected to attend the Five Star Super Camp. This is included in your commission based pay for your monthly teams.
- Staff Development
- It is suggested that coaches attend a minimum of one outside professional development conference per year. Examples include but are not limited to: USASF regional meeting, ASGA meeting, JAM U. These staff development conferences are at your own expense as they are to further your abilities as a coach. b. Coaches are expected to attend monthly staff meetings. Meetings are paid.
- Maintain the Professional Appearance of Five Star Athletics, sensory package:
- Ensure the cleanliness of our facility by:
- Always cleaning up after yourself
- Putting your belongings in the appropriate places
- Picking up any garbage and tiding any messy areas that you come across on a daily basis to present the image of cleanliness, organization and professionalism thus ensuring every client has an amazing Five Star experience
- Training floor must be neat, clean and organized and all training equipment must be stacked neatly at the end of the night in the appropriate places.
- Staff must always be dressed in their Five Star Staff shirt and appropriate bottoms. If staff members reports not in their Five Star staff shirt, they will be sent home for the day.
- Staff should wear shoes at all times
- Ensure the cleanliness of our facility by:
- Bell Ringers
- When an athlete gets to ring the bell, take a picture or video of them doing the new skill. Place these videos in the apple sharing group, so Emily can post them to social media.
- Happy Birthday
- It is your responsibility to know when your athletes have a birthday coming up! ii. Celebrate each child’s birthday by having the team sing Happy Birthday to them.
- Take a picture with their team and post it in your group
- Good Job Emails-
- Send one email every week to an athlete on your team who has demonstrated something outstanding… One athlete a week until you have cycled through the entire team. This email should go to the parent and blind cc to [email protected]
- Philanthropy
- As a team coach, it is your responsibility to work alongside your athletes and team reps to come up with your December community service project.
- Make sure that this project is helping the community.
- An outline for this project is due to the All Star director no later than October 15th.
- Team Bonding
- As a team coach, it is your responsibility along with the help of your assistant coach to plan and attend a minimum of 3 team bonding events per season. b. These events must be planned a minimum of 3 weeks out. c. All Team Bonding events must follow the Team Bonding system. Forms must be submitted as outlined in the packet. d. All events require proper supervision e. These should include special events for holidays f. All Team dress up days should be announced a minimum of one week out. These days must be sent out in the remind group and posted on the team fb pages. Do not just tell your athletes.
- Gym Wide Events
- As a team coach, you will be expected to help facilitate and participate in gym wide events as directed by the All Star Director. These events are only paid if you are required to have direct supervision roles of your athletes. If these event is not paid, it is your choice to attend or not. Events include but are not limited to

12. Accident Reports-

- All accidents that require any type of first aid be given must be documented within 18 hours of the incident. Parents should be notified either via phone call or in person.

13.Team Preparedness/Competition Routines

- As a team coach, it is your responsibility to ensure your team is set for success.
- Daily lesson plans are to be recorded and placed in the binder.
- Each week you will submit videos as discussed in the weekly message, to your team’s photo sharing group.
- Team practices are to be ran according to the All Star Practice system, and never be missing part of this plan.
- Extra scheduled practices are included in your commission based pay. In the event that you want to schedule an additional practice please pay attention to this.
- Practices are to be ran in a fun, age appropriate manner.
- All coaches should set reasonable and attainable goals focused on perfection before progression.
14.Team Reps

- As the team coach it is your responsibility to speak with your team rep on a regular basis. Your team rep is the liaison between you and your team parents.
- Your team rep should be used to help you schedule dress up days, team bonding and Community service projects. All communication going to team members from your team rep should first be proofed by you. Do not allow your team rep to send things out without you knowing. If this is an issue, ask the All Star Director for assistance.
15.Competitions-

- As a team coach, it is your choice if you choose to attend the competitions of your teams. If you are unable to attend the directors will handle your teams in warm ups.
- For coaches who choose to attend team events, the gym will purchase rooms for coaches for all two day events. The rooms will be shared with other coaches. Rooms will likely be coed. If you want to stay with your family, this is at your own expense. Family members and spouses etc are not allowed to stay in the coaches rooms. All rooms will be checking in on Friday and checking out on Sunday. If your team competes after 5pm on Sunday and the competition is more than 4 hours away we will also provide a room for Sunday evening.
- Travel- If you select to fly to a competition this is at your own expense. If you select to drive in a car of coaches only (minimum of 4 coaches), we will reimburse you for gas at .15 cents per mile from the gym to the competition venue round trip.
- Worlds and Summit- If your team qualifies for Worlds or Summit and you choose to attend, the gym will pay for your airfare, hotel and give you an allotted allowance for food.
16.Coaches Attendance-

- If you have a scheduled absence it is your job to find a coach to cover your classes. If you are coaching a team with someone, you need to ask the coach to see if they need help for that day.
- Any issues with classes need to be directed to the class director.
- Excessive absences or tardiness results in a change in the coaches salary information as outlined below in your position offer.
17.Choreography Expectations-

- Choreography dates are optional for all coaches. Gym directors will create routines, and we will bring someone in to add fluff to routines, and to choreograph dances.
- By choreography dates, all teams should have mastered basic and intermediate stunts within their level.
- Three weeks prior to choreography you will be required to submit a list of who can do what level appropriate skills, what their elite stunt groups are and your quantity groups along with any additional feedback you would like to give.
18.Private Lessons-

- Private lessons are a privilege given to coaches who seem to excel in various areas.
- All private lessons need to be booked through Amilia.
- If you want private availability please message them to Shelley.
- Privates must take place during normal operating hours for the gym. This is to ensure your safety.
- Private lessons are charged billed at $35 per half hour. The gym will charge the following fees: $20 per half hour.
19.Timesheets/ Payroll-
-
- Your daily report is your time-sheet, this is how we account for all class hours. If you do not complete your report daily you will not get paid based on that.
- Pay Days are bi-monthly. Pay dates are the 5th and the 20th of each month.
- Privates should be included on your nightly report, if you do not include them on your timesheet we can miss them.
- Failure to submit your timesheet nightly is grounds for termination.
20.Team Coach Pay- This is a commission based pay system. It is your responsibility to ensure that your teams enrollment stays consistent.

- As a head coach the pay will be based as follows:
- Coaching alone without any additional coaches- $25/Team Member per month
- Coaching with a Jr Coach- $20/Team Member per Month
- Coaching with an Assistant Coach- $15/Team Member per month
- As an Assistant Coach, the pay will be $15/per team member/per month.

- Class hours are paid separately as per your class coach PA.
- Missing Time for team practices:
- You will be allotted 3 personal days for the season. These can be used for vacations, appointments, etc.
- In addition to these personal days, you will be allowed up to 3 emergency days. These can only be used for major emergencies such as death in your family, illness or injury requiring hospitalization. iii. In the case that these days have been depleted, the pay for the days missed will be reduced by 15% of that team’s monthly amount per day missed. For an example, a team of 20 with a Junior coach would earn $400 for the month and 15% of that is $60 that would be deducted. iv. If the absences become too great where the reduction in pay becomes less than an hourly rate of minimum wage for the hours worked. You will be removed from this payroll system and you will be placed back on an hourly rate of $10/hour.
- The pay structure above is for all hours related directly to a coaches hours working with their teams as outlined in the position agreement above.

Monthly Benchmarks In order for this position to exist, the following monthly benchmarks must be hit.
- Team retention at the end of the season should be at least 90%
- Teams should be performing to the best of their ability at competitions.
- Post a minimum of 1 Video to the photo sharing group
General Standards Specific to this position:
- All Coaches are required to have a current CPR and First Aid certification
- All Coaches are required to be credentialed up to the level of team they are coaching. Credentialing is at the expense of the coach as this belongs to you. Think of it as your cheer driver’s license.
- All Coaches are required to be a professional member of the USASF. This means you have paid your annual membership fee and passed your background check. This is at the expense of the coaches as this belongs
General Standards for all employees:
- The primary concern is for the client (student & parents). Client needs will be met in a manner or consistent with company mission.
- Every employee will present themselves with the highest level of integrity and professionalism at all times. Anything that violates this can cause in dismissal from our program.
- As an employee of Five Star Athletics, your job is to protect and support the image of our directors and the program. If you have an issue it needs to be discussed with directors behind closed doors. If you are not supporting the program, you don’t belong as a part of it.
- All clients and fellow employees will be greeted and treated in a friendly, professional manner. Remember we are in the relationship business.
- Clients should be treated with respect at all times. Use of phrases like please and thank you are required when speaking with our clients. Do not use words like “yeah” or “yup”
- The telephone is to be answered in a friendly and courteous manner, using the Five Star Athletics phone script. Phone calls will be answered by the third ring every time.
- Coaches should not be making or taking personal calls while on the floor.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings .
- All work will be performed according to your position agreement, as well as in the spirit of the Five Star Athletics, strategic objectives.
- Employees will be proactive, anticipate problems, and demonstrate enthusiasm about their work.
- Employees will strive to have fun and work, and be fun to work with.
- Employees will communicate effectively with parents, athletes, staff, and the public about Five Star Athletics’ policies, programs, competitions and other initiatives
- Employees will help with the takedown and setup of the gym for certain events such a showcase and super camp.
- Effort will be made to help employees/peers perform to the best of their ability and to meet company and department standards.
- All work is to be performed according to the developing operations manual, as well as in the spirit of Five Star’s objectives.
- All employees will make the clients needs a priority.
- All work will be neat and accurate. All correspondences will be in a neat and professional manner.
- All client and business information is confidential, violations of this will be grounds for immediate dismissal.
- Socializing is not to impede workflow. All employees will be respectful of the practice areas; these are working areas not nap or socialization areas. Socialize in private. All employees should be respectful of each other need for time and concentration.
- All employees will work to take the initiative to follow through and take action to produce effective results.
- All employees will use good judgment in making decisions and understand the value of saying, “I don’t know the answer….. but I will find out”
- All employees will utilize established channels of communication whenever possible to minimize interruptions. These include email, daily reports, and weekly meetings. However, employees should never fail to seek advice or guidance when immediate help is needed.
- All employees will prioritize, plan and utilize time in a manner to be most effective.
- Employees will be proactive, anticipate problems and demonstrate enthusiasm about their work. Employees will strive to have fun and be fun to work with.
- Employees will not use profane or offensive languages, nor making disparaging remarks about clients, co-workers or supervisors.
- Employees will understand that social media is not a private aspect of your life. All posts should be treated as a direct reflection of Five Star Athletics.
- A written letter of resignation is necessary when resigning/leaving the company. Such written notice will be presented to your immediate supervisor and the owner.
Additional Standards for Managers and Supervisors: At this time, this is not a management position
