Results Statement: By marketing our Item of the Month effectively, we will ensure all members know about our sale items and are able to take advantage of the great offers. Further, we will create an excitement and demand for the item of the month.
Determining the Item of the Month (4-6 weeks out from marketing):
Finding out what items the parents and kids are most interested in is important in having good sales. The proshop manager can use one (or a combination of) ways listed below to do “market research” prior to selecting an item.
- Post a few items on Twister Nation with a poll asking what people would like to see.
- Show a few parents in the target demographic to see what they think of items.
- Ask parents what they’d like to see in the proshop.
- Ask athletes what they’d like to see in the proshop.
- Ask coaches what they’d like to see in the proshop.
- Check the Academy to see what other people have had success with and/or what they will be featuring this month.
- Use an Instagram question on stories to ask what people would like to see.
Marketing the Item of the Month (2-3 weeks of marketing minimum):
The proshop manager will work alongside the social media manager to market the Item of the Month in the following ways:
- Announcement TV
- Flyers in the bathroom stalls
- Weekly members email
- ProShop flyers
- Post in Twister Nation Members Only Facebook Group
- Post in all team pages
- *Put it on table tents 2 weeks prior to deadline
- Hang flyer in Kids Camp
- Put a flyer at the front desk in an acrylic holder or in the entryway
- Use the sign board to notify parents of the final deadline
- Post to Instagram stories each day of the sale
* The gym manager will determine what takes priority when it comes to table tents.
When the Item of the Month arrives (within 48 hours of arrival):
It’s important for parents to see the excitement when a child receives their item. For that reason, we will document the arrival and unveiling of the item of the month in one or a combination of ways listed below.
- Post a picture of the item on an athlete on Instagram stories. Tag any parents who purchased and let them know their item has arrived. (This is not to be the primary way to notify them, but rather a way to generate excitement.)
- Create an IG reel of the unboxing or unpackaging of the item.
- Post a sneak-peak image or boomerang and post it in Twister Nation letting parents know it will be available for pick up on X day.
- Offer double loyalty rewards points for wearing it to the next practice.
- Offer a free giveaway (such as one of our extra bows or pencils) as a freebie packaged with the Item of the Month.
