Results Statement: Employees of Premier Academy are subject to disciplinary measures for failure to meet performance standards, violation of company policies and procedures, or failure to adhere to company rules. It is the policy of Premier Academy that any conduct which interferes with or adversely affects employment may lead to disciplinary action ranging from verbal warnings to immediate discharge.
POLICY:
FIRST OFFENSE: Verbal and file note of warning. This warning will identify the problem and clearly communicate what is expected of the Employee in a future similar situation.
SECOND OFFENSE: Second written warning will be given for the second offense. This warning will identify the problem and clearly communicate what is expected of the Employee in a future similar situation.
THIRD OFFENSE: A third written warning will be given for the third offense and the following disciplinary actions may be taken:
- Sent home without pay for the day;
- Removal of 1 to 3 scheduled shifts; and/or
- Suspension for 1 to 5 work days.
FOURTH OFFENSE: Immediate termination for cause.
IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL: There are certain behaviors that will be treated with little understanding or patience because they are CHARACTER issues, including but not limited to the following:
- Blatant disregard for any rules and / or policies in this Employee Handbook.
- Treating any athlete, student, parent, or team member in a disrespectful manner. At Premier Academy, we strive to build the self-esteem of others. Disregard for another person’s feelings degrades the integrity of our programs, shows a lack of respect, and will not be tolerated for any reason.
- Dishonesty including lying or stealing.
- Being unreliable in timeliness and / or attendance.
- Use of any vulgar language with our athletes, students or parents.
- Violating Premier Academy’s drug and alcohol policy.
- Sexual harassment or sexual misconduct with athletes, students or parents. Any inappropriate relationship with an athlete, student or parent will not be tolerated including calling, texting, meeting outside the gym, messaging on social networking sites, etc. Just because it’s not technically illegal doesn’t mean it’s appropriate.
- Violating Premier Academy’s physical and sexual abuse policy.
- Disregard for any athlete’s, parents, or Employees’ safety.
