Results Statement: The purpose of this system is to ensure that the staff feel appreciated and are being rewarded for going above and beyond.

In the case of an illness or emergency situation, there will be someone in place, ready to cover for classes and/or practices.  This person will be considered ON-CALL.  In all other events, the on-call person will not be expected to be at work during the hours in which they are assigned as on-call.  In ALL cases of on-call, there will be points rewarded that can be cashed in for prizes.  Points must be “spent” at the end of each quarter. Quarterly time periods are as follows:  September-December, January-April, May-August. 

Points may NOT be carried over, therefore, at the end of the quarter, all points left untouched will be cleared.  

Point values are; 

Monday-Thursday Shifts

  1. Substitute shift (pre arranged time off coverage VIA Time Off Request) = 30pts
  2. On Call + Called in to work = 30pts
  3. On Call + NOT called in to work = 15pts

Friday-Sunday Shifts

  1. Substitute shift (pre arranged time off coverage VIA Time Off Request) = 60pts
  2. On Call + Called in to work = 60pts
  3. On Call + NOT called into work = 30pts

 

When keeping track of points, it is up to the employee to submit a form online to be approved by supervisor.  Form must be filled out after the picked up shift or on call was completed and logged in Jackrabbit. Form can be found in pinned post on facebook staff page. 

 

 Supervisor/Coordinator then has a google sheet to assure the points are correct and “banked”. (Found in Google Drive > Red Deer > Systems > On Call/Time Off/Points > Points System > Points Bank) Points can be cashed in at anytime during the 4 month time period, and MUST be cashed in by the end of the 4 months.   At the end of the 4 months, whoever has the most amount of points (aka hasn’t cashed in anything over the course of the 4 months) will win the “Jackpot” and will be able to pick from the TOP prizes. Only one employee from each time period can win this.  

 

Incentive prizes are determined by Managers.  Purchases of prizes will be made by a Premier Academy credit card holder as needed.
