This information was posted to Academy members and emailed out July 22, 2024 and has been pinned in the Academy group since 2024 as well. This issue was fixed by Next Gen in October 2024, but Canva ultimately is responsible for expiring template links without notifying the customers.
You may have seen an email Canva recently sent out about now expiring template links. This is likely going to affect our ability to maintain accuracy in the Connect 3 library for images that were created more than 24 months ago.
We can no longer guarantee that previous template links will remain active indefinitely. Canva is currently granting and removing access to templates on a daily basis, so it’s not feasible to keep this up until they are through their template restructuring.
To ensure continued access to your templates, we recommend opening all Canva templates in your account and saving them as “used graphics.” This will prevent any loss of access if the original links expire.
For templates provided within the last 24 months, we will work to resolve any requests for expired links. Please note that this process may take up to 7 days to obtain the links. To request a template, email [email protected].
