This is a position agreement by and between the Competitive Programs Director and the Owners of Central Missouri Twisters LLC d.b.a. Twister Sports, and is intended to franchise prototype the relationship between these two positions. 

Results Statement: This position is responsible for developing, growing and maintaining the competitive programs at Twister Sports.

Reporting Positions: This position reports directly to the gym manager and will work directly with Danielle.

Entrepreneurial Work:

  1. Observe and document ideas and that will continue to improve the client experience for our competitive families.
  2. Observe and document ideas that will help to improve the service that we offer. 
  3. Develop and implement benchmarks for teams. These must be age and skill appropriate and be focused to ensure progress while meeting the standards of Twister Sports.
  4. Continuously learn and grow with new methods and training techniques to ensure our all star program is leading the way in Warrensburg.

Managerial Work

  1. Work with the gym manager and owners to ensure the competitive tumbling, cheer and hip hop programs are meeting the current needs of Twister Sports current and future clients.
  2. Develop and refine the competitive program director position agreements and subsidiary positions for future reporting.
  3. Attend weekly manager meetings every week and report on the competitive programs.
  4. Regularly communicate with competitive coaches to ensure they are aware of information for upcoming events, changes, scoresheet and rules modifications and training opportunities. 
  5. Meet with All Star Coaches briefly on a monthly basis to give feedback regarding team progress to ensure they are also constantly improving.  
  6. Host quarterly training meetings and one-on-one coaching evaluations as needed or directed.
  7. Facilitate annual review and modifications to the season packet, tryout process, benchmarks, mid-season evaluations, focus groups, etc.

Technical Work

  1. Client Communication 
    1. Assist front desk staff with duties related to client communication for both class and team families.
    2. Post weekly updates to the team pages with information, encouragement, motivation, training tips, etc.
    3. Become the expert on competition details and assist parents, athletes and fellow team members with answering questions and keeping families fully informed acting as the primary point of contact.
    4. Maintain the flyers’ Band with updated curriculum, reminders and accountability posts. 
  2. Student Retention
    1. Attendance Communication and Follow Up – communicate with parents of athletes who have missed several practices and find out what provisions are needed. Schedule private lessons as needed.
    2. Regularly communicate with parents to gain feedback and make course adjustments throughout the season to ensure athletes and parents are meeting their goals. 
  3. Event Facilitation
    1. Assist the Director of Client Relations and Gym Manager to coordinate the following competition-related activities and events:
      1. Annual Lock In
      2. Showcase
      3. Mock Meet
      4. Rainbow Weeks
      5. Coffee & Conversation
      6. Mid-Season Evaluations
      7. End of Season Banquet
      8. Tryout Meetings
      9. Tryouts
      10. Community Performances
    2. Take the lead in coordinating the following all-star-related activities:
      1. Tryout Meetings
      2. Tryout Clinics and Team Placements
      3. All Star 101 and 102 briefings
      4. Team Meetings
      5. Travel Event Meetings
      6. Team Bonding Opportunities
      7. Choreography Camp
      8. Annual Team and Individual Photos
      9. Music 
      10. Ordering Music
      11. End-of-Season Banquet
      12. End-of-Season/National Travel Events
      13. Annual Trainings and Recertifications
  4. Tumbling, Hip Hop & All Star Curriculum
    1. As the Competitive Programs Director it is your job to ensure that the teams are meeting the standards we have set. 
    2. Set standards and make sure they are being followed for all areas of the scoresheet 
    3. You are responsible for ensuring team coaches are following practice plans.
  5. Practice Structure
    1. Develop and implement a structure to classes to ensure all team practices are run in a consistent manner.
      1. Items to be included in class structure are to include but not limited:
        1. Conditioning
        2. Warm Up
        3. Routine Work
        4. Skills Work
        5. Full Outs
      2. Hold coaches accountable for ensuring teams are ready and provide assistance as needed.
      3. Fill in on teams when coaches are sick or on vacation (as possible with the schedule)
  6. USASF or the equivalent (As needed)
    1. Assist parents with all registrations
    2. Form the teams
    3. Submit rosters for events
  7. Competitions
    1. Register for all events for the season no later than Sept 15th of each year. Provide the invoice to the gym manager or owner for review prior to payment.
    2. 90 days out from the event ensure that all teams have the correct numbers registered, and crossovers have been allocated correctly.
    3. One week prior to each event, send out via Facebook Team Pages and Email the competition info sheet. Include:
      1. Arrival Times
      2. Warm Up Times
      3. Performance Times
      4. Awards Schedule
      5. Any Other required Information
    4. Staff information and schedule should be sent to all staff within 24 hours of receiving the final competition schedule. 
    5. Provide score check assistance to coaches to ensure scoresheets are correct and rules clarification is received. 
    6. Ensure all routines have received a legality review.
    7. Ensure all paperwork is prepared for competitions and is submitted to event producers in advance including: 
      1. Waivers
      2. Rosters
      3. Personnel Forms
      4. Music Licenses
      5. Event Producer Agreements
      6. Any Other Required Paperwork
  8. Position Pay Structure
    1. The annual salary for this position is $24,880. 
    2. Salaries will be re-evaluated each year during the member’s annual staff evaluation.
    3. Benefits for full-time staff include: Student loan reimbursement (through 2026 and may be extended), Simple IRA with employer contribution, Healthcare stipend, Uniform stipend, Annual membership to Planet Fitness.
      1. These items are subject to change based on availability and annual budget.
