Results Statement: By creating an annual checklist, we will not be in a rush to finish something at the last minute or be distracted by other activities or events within the gym.
This is the annual checklist created by Twisters. A few things to note:
- Our season runs yearround (May-April) so your timeline may be skewed if you run a 10 or 11 month program.
- Our first competition is usually mid-November, so you may not need to do some of the things as early as we do.
- We don’t do end-of-season events every year, but this year is based off All Star Worlds on our schedule.
- We will use this list each year. I will rarely delete anything as I want it on the list even if we don’t need it so it can be easily replicated the following season. For example, maybe we won’t need hotel rooms every month, but I’ll keep them on the list and just check it off to know that we’ve thought about it.
- We use the paid version of Trello. In the months you see it assigned specifically to someone with a due date, that is a paid Trello feature.
- We will add to this list throughout the year so after a few years of this checklist, we should be fully set. Be diligent about updating this list as necessary.
- We assign due dates and staff 2-3 months out so people can forecast what their responsibilities and duties will look like (and work ahead when possible.) We won’t assign farther out than that though as people tend to pick up other duties and tasks in the gym and we need to gauge the easier tasks that can be done by a variety of staff members as time goes on.
