Results statement: This is the position agreement for the summer camp director at Twister Sports. This position reports directly to the gym manager for administrative and staffing tasks, and reports directly to the CFO for budgeting and financial matters.

Summer Camp Director Position Agreement 

 

This is a Position Agreement by and between the Summer Camp Director and the Owner(s) of Twister Sports, and is intended to detail the expectations for success in the relationship between these two positions.

 

This position is responsible for delivery high quality child care, fun fitness experiences and friendships here at Twisters. 

 

Technical Work: 

 

  1. Prepare props, crafts, etc as necessary for all activities. 
  2. Create, copy and record lesson plans to post for staff and parents. 
  3. Frequently communicate with parents about all aspects of the program. 
  4.  Ensure Gym is prepared for all Summer Camp Activities 
    1. Kitchen Clean and Stocked (to ensure staff knows expectations) 
    2. Kids Camp Storage Closet is organized how you want the staff to do so. 
    3. All lesson plans are ready and printed
    4. Summer Camp Trello board ready and updated
  5. Schedule Field Trips. 
  6. Collect money for field trips. 
  7. Transportation for Field Trips and other activities. 
  8. Provide marketing content and new fun ways to gain more campers. 
  9. Purchase all food for kids campers while following all health guidelines. 
  10. Keep  track of campers snack money. 
  11. Keep track of campers’ lunch punch passes and communicate with parents when new ones are needed. 

 

Managerial Work: 

 

  1. Create effective and innovative lesson plans by studying previous years and other programs. 
  2. Help develop systems to effectively run camp in a safe and clean environment.
  3. Ensure all staff are following designated systems and lesson plans. 
  4. Staffing the program weekly. 
  5. Interview and hire staff. 
  6. Conduct staff training and training plan. 
  7. Staff member evaluations. 
  8. Take leadership initiative and motivate or sensitively correct staff behavior on the spot. 
  9. Frequently communicate with staff through chat, email and personal contact. 
  10. Keep staff energized, challenged, and driven by our mission. 
  11.  Update, post and charge weekly tuition. Follow enrollment systems to ensure all students have been properly set up and charged.
  12. Handle major behavior issues and communicate with parents.

 

Entrepreneurial Work: 

  1. Maintain Summer Camp budget and keep all owners and managers updated on the progress. 
  2. Propose end-of-summer staff bonuses based on evaluations and major contributions. Draft of the proposal is due no later than the last day of camp.

 

General Standards for all staff:

 

  1. The primary concern is our clients (students and parents) and that their needs are met in a timely manner.
  2. Staff will present themselves with integrity and a professional manner at all times.  Anything that violates this can be a reason for dismissal from our program.
  3. When wearing Twisters logo you represent our business and we expect our staff to treat our clients with courtesy and respect.
  4. No conversations of compensation with anyone other than your supervisor.
